TEMPLATE for instructors to share with students
Purpose: share with students or colleagues joining your LMS course for the first time.
Here are a few key points and tips to get started:
- Sign in to your LMS account using Google Chrome, Firefox, Edge, or Brave browser. Do not use Safari.
- Open your course.
- Locate InSpace in your course navigation.
- Click the purple Get Started button to sync your LMS account with InSpace.
- Now, the purple button will say Join Space. You can join the space when the instructor is in the session.

- If you're using an iOS (Apple) or Android device, please use this resource to learn about downloading the app. You’ll also need to use the Canvas App for students.
- Test it out ahead of time! Once in your LMS, click on InSpace from the left menu, then when you click on “Student Space” under InSpace, you can run a system test before joining the space.
Troubleshooting:
- If your mic/video isn't working when you enter the space, leaving the space and then
- signing back in will usually resolve the issue. For additional support, try these tricks to get your mic/video working.
- If that doesn’t work, quit Chrome, then re-try joining.
