Get Ready for Your First InSpace Session: Checklist for a Successful Experience

Tips for Browser Compatibility, Audio Setup, and More

InSpace is browser-based, which means you don't need to download or install an application.

The following checklist will help you get ready for your first session.

  • For the best experience, please use the Google Chrome browser (you can download Chrome here). If you’re using an iPad or iPhone, please download the ‘InSpace Proximity’ app from the App Store.
  • Web browsers compatible with InSpace include Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Edge and Brave.
  • Android users, please use the Google Chrome app from your device to join.
  • Regardless of the browser you use, please check to ensure it is up to date. How to update Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Edge, and Brave.
  • Please close any unnecessary tabs in your browser.
  • Please close any unnecessary applications on your computer, especially video and gaming.

Tips for setting up a successful audio experience on InSpace:

  • If possible, find a quiet room from which to log in to your InSpace session. If you're sharing a workspace with others, using a headset can help remove as much background noise as possible.
  • We recommend using a noise cancelling headset with a good microphone. This will improve your listening experience, and the listening experience of others in the space.
  • Before clicking the “Join space” button, please ensure you have selected and tested the correct microphone and speaker from the dropdown menu under “Audio/video settings”
  • Consider muting your microphone during a session if there are many participants present, or if you have background noise in your physical environment.
