How to Install InSpace Campus LTI 1.3 for Moodle LMS

Learn how to configure InSpace as an external tool in Moodle with this easy-to-follow step-by-step guide. From managing tools to configuring privacy settings, this guide covers everything you need to know to seamlessly integrate InSpace in Moodle

    1. In Moodle, Navigate to: Site Administration -> Plugins -> External Tools -> Manage Tools

    2. Choose the option: “Alternatively, you can configure a tool manually.”

    3. Under “Tool Settings” type / choose the following:

    4. Under “Services” type / choose the following:

    • IMS LTI Assignment and Grade Services: Do not use this service
    • IMS LTI Names and Provisioning: Use this service to retrieve members’ information as per privacy settings 
    • Tool Settings: Do not use this service

    5.  Under “Privacy” type / choose the following:

    • Share launcher’s name with tool: Always
    • Share launcher’s email with tool: Always
    • Accept grades from the tool: As specified in Deep Linking definition or Delegate to Teacher
    • Force SSL: Enable / Check this box

    6.  Under “Miscellaneous” there is no need to make any changes

    7.  Click “Save changes”

    8. Click your newly configured tool's “Tool Configuration Details” icon. A window will pop up with your configuration settings. Click the “Email” button and send this information to your InSpace account Rep so we can finalize the configuration.

    9. Now you can add InSpace as an activity in a course. In the course in question, “add an activity or resource”, then choose “External Tool”.  Name the activity “InSpace”. Under “Preconfigured tool” select InSpace. Save your activity.
