      How to turn on InSpace notifications in the Brave browser

      For a seamless InSpace user experience, enabling in-browser notifications is highly recommended.

      Busy education professionals are multitasking across tabs and in hybrid work settings. Enabling notifications helps you stay updated on real-time changes, messages, or alerts in your InSpace sessions. This guide walks you through how to enable these notifications in the Brave Browser.

      How to Allow Notifications from InSpace

      To permit notifications from InSpace, follow these steps:

      1. Launch the Brave browser on your device.
      2. Open the InSpace website at https://app.inspace.chat.
      3. In the address bar, click on the padlock icon for information.
      4. From the menu that displays, select 'Site Settings'.
      5. This will open the 'Site settings' related to InSpace.
      6. Change the 'Notifications' permission to 'Allow'.
      7. Close the tab, and you will start receiving notifications from InSpace as and when they are sent.

      You can also manage notifications as they appear. If the InSpace website asks to send notifications, you can allow or block it directly from the notification pop-up.

      How to Manage Notifications on Brave

      The Brave browser provides extensive features to manage your notifications. You can add and delete websites from your notifications list, or stop receiving notifications from all websites.

      To manage your notifications, follow these steps:

      1. Launch the Brave browser on your computer.
      2. Click the 'More' menu (represented by three horizontal bars) and select 'Settings'.
      3. In the left panel, switch to 'Privacy and Security' and then go to 'Site and Shields Settings'.
      4. Click on 'Notifications' to access the notification settings page.
      5. Customize your notification settings as needed.

      By default, you can allow sites to ask to send notifications or block all sites from sending notifications.

      You can also block specific sites from sending notifications by adding their URLs, or allow specific sites to send notifications in the same way.

      Finally, you can edit and remove the added sites to disable their notifications.

      If you select the 'Don’t allow sites to send notifications' option, the browser will block all websites, and you will not receive any requests to allow or block notifications.

      All changes will take effect once you close the tab.

      Customizing your notification preferences allows you to remain connected and responsive on InSpace without interrupting your workflow.
